PUPPY LAKE HUSKY SAFARI

During the day we will practice driving the dogs, learn how to 
control the sled and go through the safety issues before 
heading out on a husky safari in the wilderness.

TAIGA MAJA´S WILD DOGSLED ADVENTURE 3 DAYS

Taiga Maja´s wild dogsled adventure 3 days
Day 1:  arrival and accommodation. Getting to know the dogs.
Day 2:  After breakfast we go and feed the dogs. During the day 
we'll get familiar with harnesting and other dogsledding 
skills and safety. 
Then it´s time for the huskysafari. 
Day 3: After feeding and harnesting we ride a longer safari 
in the snowy, blue tree-covered hills of North Karelia region.

ONE WEEK FISHING PACKAGE
One week at Taiga Maja, five boats, five wilderness lakes

Customers have use of Taiga Maja’s rowing boats at nearby
wilderness lakes for one week. Electric outboard motors
are available. Fish for whitefish, pike-perch, lake trout,
burbot, perch and pike. Includes fishing permits.

a biosphere reserve at the centre of all activities.
We offer accommodation and activities for those travelling
alone, for families and for groups.
On the grounds you will find a husky kennel, a lakeside sauna,
a sandy beach, a lean-to and a grill kota.
The nature trail to the Keltalampi lean-to
departs from our yard, along which you can also
access lighted cross-country ski trails in wintertime.

Paddling on a lake in the wilderness

Paddle down the Lieksanjoki river along the border to the Ruunaanjärvi lake, stopping for breaks at campfire sites and lean-tos. The total paddling distance is approximately 20 km. Shorter distances can also be arranged.
